This recipe is also from Chili's and meant to be served with the Asian Lettuce Wraps, but you could use this sauce for plenty of things besides the lettuce wraps, so I posted it separately.
1/2 Cup Creamy Peanut Butter
1/3 Cup Water
2 Tablespoons White Vinegar
1/2 teaspoon Ginger, finely minced
1/8 teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
1/4 Cup Granulated Sugar
1/4 teaspoon Garlic Powder
1/2 teaspoon Chili Oil
1/2 teaspoon Vegetable Oil
1 Tablespoon Brown Sugar
1. Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan over medium/low heat.
2. Heat while whisking until sauce becomes smooth.
3. Remove from heat when done.

Hey Brooke!
ReplyDeleteYour Chili's theme reminds me. Do you have the recipe for the Chili's Skillet Queso? My friends and I have tried the recipes on the Internet and we cant seem to find the "real one". It is my favortie! so just wondering. I love all your recipes, do you have pictures of them? I like to see what they are "suppose" to look like.
Unfortunately I don't have the exact recipe for the Chili's Skillet Queso. I love that too! I'll post a recipe here that is said to be the Chili's recipe, but I don't know for sure. I haven't tried it, so I'm not posting it on my blog until I do. If you try it and it tastes like the Chili's one, let me know!
ReplyDelete3 ounces ground beef
1 teaspoon all-purpose flour
pinch of salt
pinch of ground black pepper
16-ounce bottle Cheez Whiz
2 tablespoons milk
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon paprika
In a small bowl, mix together ground beef, flour, a pinch of salt, a pinch of black pepper, and a pinch of chili powder. Use your hands to work the dry ingredients into the ground beef. Brown the beef in a small skillet over medium heat for about 5 minutes. Use a spoon or spatula to crumble the beef as it cooks. Cook the meat until it's brown, then set it aside.
Melt the Cheez Whiz with 2 tablespoons of milk over low heat. When milk and cheese has been combined, add the ground beef and remaining ingredients. Heat while stirring often until mixture is hot and ingredients are well combined, then cover saucepan and remove it from the heat. Serve with chips for dipping.
Also, I try to post as many pictures as I can, but I don't have them for all my recipes. The next time I make the things I post, I'll go back and add pictures. Thanks for the suggestion.
